Text: Psalm 30:5, Romans 15:13 & Galatians 5:22
When I say “Be Joyful”, I am talking about the joy of the lord. Let the joy of the lord be your strength. There is strength and power in joy. The absence of joy is weakness.
There is a huge difference between joy and happiness. Joy and happiness are wonderful things to experience but are different .
Joy is more constant and it is cultivated internally. It comes when you make peace with who you are, why you are and how you are .
On the other hand, happiness is externally triggered and it is based on other people, things, place and events.Joy is important in the life of a believer. No matter what you are going through, let the joy of the lord be planted in you.
Did you know joy is not seasonal? It is a way of life, it is a lifestyle. Joy creates healing and keeps you alive. Joy in you is the presence of God in you. When you have no Joy, there is something missing somewhere in your life.
Joy is more effective than happiness. A happy face exudes youthfulness – Proverbs 17:22. There is no substitute for joy. True joy is a gift from the lord, and you get joy by obeying God’s words – Romans 15:13.
“For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost” – Romans 14:17.
In Psalm 51 : 8,10,12 the Bible explains that Joy is the source of happiness . Joy can’t be found in a place where there is no peace. Joy is part of the fruit of the spirit – Galatians 5:22.
Joy is powerful . The joy of the lord is your strength. When there is Joy in you, you think of positive things to do. When there is Joy in you, there is HOPE.
Finally, that there is joy does not mean there is no sorrow. It is your duty to replace this sorrow with Joy and this is possible with the word of God – John 16:22.
I pray for you…
God will give you an everlasting Joy that no man can tamper with in Jesus name.
